Fillings

Fillings are a very common tool used by our team to fill in holes made by cavities or from drilling. While in the past, fillings were done using amalgam, which contains mercury and can be harmful, today they are made out of a polymer composite material that is completely harmless. Patients still have the option of having their fillings made form gold or silver, but composite is often the safest and cheapest material for a tooth filing. The procedure involved with placing fillings is not very invasive, and usually only takes a few minutes. Just be careful with hot or cold foods and drinks immediately after having them placed.
